A catastrophic fire swept through our church building on Thursday night, December 29. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but an historic 100 years plus building has been devastated.
As we work with the fire department, insurance company, emergency response people and others, we affirm our commitment to love of others and hope for the future and put ourselves in Hands Much Larger Than Our Own.
A center of community life for 175 years in the city has been seriously wounded, but not destroyed. For the month of January, Sunday School Classes will be held at 10:30 a.m. and Worship Services will be at 11:30 a.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, at 55th and Brookside in KCMO.
Thanks to the brave firefighters! Keep everyone involved and affected in your thoughts and prayers.
